Why Chiropractic?
Headache Analysis

Although people are generally aware that chiropractic can alleviate, and in most cases eliminate most headaches, many are not aware that chiropractic treatment can also help with sinus problems.  The nerves at the base of the skull that cause headaches are also associated with the nerves that cause sinusitis, an inflammation of the sinuses.  Often headaches and sinusitis are experience simultaneously.  Misalignment of the bones in the neck, known as the subluxation, usually precipitate such problems.

Some authorities say that people who are exposed to visible and invisible pollutants yet suffer no symptoms are immune to them.  Sinus sufferers supposedly have accumulations of pollutants in the nose.  These pollutants spread to other cavities, and the condition worsens due to the lack of immunity.

But why is one person immune, while another is not?  Chiropractors and other researchers know that the vast majority of sinus sufferers have pressure on the nerves of the base of the skull.  This pressure results in irritation to the sinuses, making these people allergic to various contaminates.  Once the pressure is reduced, the bodies forces go to work and the sinus sufferer is relieved.

Although many sinus sufferers take medication for the sinus problems, taking medication over a long period of time may be extremely harmful.  While the medication may relieve the symptoms, it does nothing to treat the causes of sinusitis.  If the sufferer does not treat the cause, the infection could reach the bone itself.  At this point, the problem is very difficult to treat.

Chiropractic can restore normal nerve functions to the nose and sinus area.  If you are currently suffering from sinus problems, contact our office to schedule a consultation to determine if chiropractic care is the answer for you.
